Date Like A Man: What Men Know About Dating and Are Afraid You’ll Find Out Why men have fun dating and women don’t – Linda J. Fraser – Minneapolis, MN
I brilliant explanation of why men seem to have fun dating while women fret about dates – before, during and after the event. Myreah Moore knows the perks men want in a dating relationship, and she advises women to allow men to earn those benefits. Written in 1990 it avoids all the advice about internet dating that is out there in abundant supply, and explains what flesh and blood dating should look like. Every women of every age should read this book.
I’ve been enjoying Myreah Moore’s book; it’s funny, irreverent, enlightening, and best of all, backed up by real-world research (see the back of the book for male responses to a lengthy survey about their dating habits and preferences in women) and Moore’s own extensive experience as a dating consultant. I bought this book after merely reading the TOC shown in the “Look Inside” preview, because if any of Moore’s statements in the TOC are at all accurate, the TOC alone is a valuable teaching tool for single women. Moore emphasizes throughout the book that success with men should never come at the cost of cheapening oneself or dismissing one’s own needs and goals, and that “inner work” (improving attitude and health, clearing away bitterness and past regrets, focusing on ways to enrich your own life rather than impress others) is an essential prerequisite of successful dating. :

Do you get depressed every time a date turns out to be a dud? Are you constantly checking out your dates or marriage potential? Do you tell yourself you’ll never, ever find the man of your dreams? If so, chances are you’re taking dating way too seriously.

Girlfriends, it’s time to wake up and smell the new millennium! According to “America’s Dating Coach,” Myreah Moore, when it comes to dating, men are the masters. And she will tell you how to stop dating like a woman (just to find a husband) and start dating like a man (so you can start having some fun!).

Forget about waiting by the phone or playing by the “Rules.” Myreah has developed a personal training program for improving any woman’s romantic prospects and increasing her chances of finding her soul mate. Date Like A Man will reveal what men already know about dating but are afraid you’ll find out, such as:

Dating is a Numbers Game. Always have a “pair and a spare”!

Dating is a Team Sport. You don’t have to go it alone. Myreah will show you how to enlist your friends and neighbors in your search for available men.

Dating Means Taking Risks. You’ve been dumped? So what? Rejection can open the door to even better dating possibilities.

Myreah will also show you why dating is a lot like science. Any experiment involves trial and error, so the more you fail, the closer you are to reaching your goal. Succeeding in dating is about being open to new experiences and allowing yourself to fail as many times as it takes before you succeed.

By following Myreah’s advice, you’ll learn:

how to train yourself mentally before you start to date

how to use reverse psychology on your dates and steer the wheel of romantic fortune in your direction

how to go from scared and lonely to finding your one-and-only

how to narrow your search by separating your “wants” from your nonnegotiable “needs”

how to be persistent and maintain a positive attitude and finally

how to ask for–and get–what you want from a man

By following Myreah’s dating training program, you will feel better about yourself and the men you date. You will see yourself as more attractive, and you will meet and date more men than you’ve ever dreamed possible!

If I’m So Wonderful, Why Am I Still Single?: Ten Strategies That Will Change Your Love Life Forever Worth Every Minute of Reading – JT Briggs – Wisconsin

After reading some of the reviews on Susan Page’s book “If I’m So Wonderful Why Am I Still Single?” I have to agree with whoever commented on chapter 10: If you don’t love yourself, you will place an unfair and impossible burden on your partner: you will try to get him or her to make you feel good about yourself.
That insight alone was enough to make me want to purchase this book for every one of my friends.
Excellent!
JT Briggs
author of “Mama Said There’d Be Dates Like This”

Everyone can find something mindopening. This is why so many extracts from the book are mentioned above. Many ideas are not really new, but this is a good book to structure your thoughts and find out your own reasons for being single. The most helpful in this book for me was the kick of motivation that despite all my failures and lack of results yet there is always a chance to find my soul mate. This helped me to keep on moviing after some disapointing recent expiriences in dating. Now I know that ‘The mate shopping is not necessarily fun’ and this is OK. This is just part of the game. Everything depends on my efforts, discipline, attitude and activity. Now I just keep in mind the motto of persistence and follow the rule of ‘volume’. I do not hope for some magic or fate anymore and I have no doubts in the happy end. : Susan Page’s bestselling relationship book has been translated into 18 languages, is being read in more than 25 countries, and its mass-market edition has sold more than 158,000 copies. At the heart of this book are Page’s famed 10 strategies for readers to better self-understanding and ultimately a fulfilling relationship. Filled with revealing anecdotes, case studies, and quizzes, the book’s down-to- earth guidance will appeal to everyone who devoured books like Mars and Venus on a Date and Getting the Love You Want, and anyone who wants a fulfilling intimate relationship.

“Behold a wonder–a romantic self-help book that is intelligent, upbeat, practical, useful, winning, and even wise.” –Kirkus Reviews

Under The Nile Organic Trouser, Navy, 1-3 Months I love the quality of the fabric of these pants. They are more substantial than most, yet very very soft. I like that the waistband is very stretchy, good for my chubby baby, and there is plenty of diaper room. The bottoms of the pants are tapered and hug the ankle area. Not exactly fashionable, but very comfortable and warm since they don’t ride up. I like them a lot. Under the Nile: I2-195-1m Versatile navy trouser for girls or boys in 100% organic super soft cotton. Super easy for quick diaper changes. To create the finished goods, fabrics are often colored with toxic dyes and finished with formaldehyde.
